Mmm, Mmm, Mmm! The weather outside might be frightful but this Sweet Potato Gratin is WAY delightful. There’s nothing like a warm, comfort food to share with your friends and family this holiday season.
Sweet Potato Gratin is an excellent Vegiholic shared dish and a filling side full of deliciousness. It takes a little bit of time to create but there is minimal prep! It’s really pretty simple once you get in your groove. We want to share just a couple of tips and tricks that will help make the time fly by. To start, mix yourself a cocktail and turn on those holiday tunes….
When peeling and cutting your potatoes, we mention to “mandoline” them. When we say “mandoline”, we’re referring to a kitchen utensil that slices vegetables. If you own a mandoline, hell yeah. But if you don’t (I didn’t!), a sharp chef’s knife works perfectly. Because potatoes are lovely individuals of all shapes and sizes, I recommend slicing the end off the long way so when you lay it flat-side down, you’ll have a stable/sturdy base!
*Drinks of Choice: Pick your poison this holiday season! Vino, bourbon or a spiked hot-cocoa to keep you toasty, perhaps!*
